Now is the time to plan ahead for adding books and/or DVDs to Course Reserve for the Spring Semester. Instructors can request that Drake Library place items from our circulating collections of books and DVDs on Course Reserve for their classes and to purchase new items for Course Reserve.
Drake Library is proud to celebrate the work of librarian Logan Rath who was awarded a PhD in Curriculum Instruction and the Science of Learning.
Drake Library is reviewing our subscription for Art Index which runs through June 30, 2021 and is up for renewal. We welcome feedback on this resource through Friday, May 21.
The Drake Memorial Library has added Predatory Journal Reports to help faculty to identify a predatory journal before submitting an article for publication.
Drake Library is considering canceling our subscription for HeinOnline after it expires on July 1, 2021. We currently have access to Westlaw Campus Research which is more frequently used for research and course assignments.
As it has done for several years, Friends of Drake Library has purchased textbooks required for high-enrollment course to be added to the Course Reserve Collection at Drake Memorial Library.
Faculty can make their course materials accessible to all students on campus by placing a copy on reserve at Drake Memorial Library.
Due to increasing demand for streaming media titles, Drake Library has updated its guidelines for purchasing and digitizing media. Attend the CELT workshop on February 15 to learn more.
Please encourage students completing papers and projects this semester to apply for the 2021-22 Library Research Awards. Applications will be open from December 1, 2021 – February 14, 2022.
Please encourage undergraduate students that completed papers in 2022 to apply for the Undergraduate Library Research Awards. The Friends of Drake Library (FODL) will be awarding prizes of $500 for first, $300 for second, and $150 for third place papers.
