KSSPE Faculty Elected Vice President of the International Council of Sport Science & Physical Education

Dr. Cesar R. Torres was elected vice-president (2021-2025) of the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education.

Dr. Cesar R. Torres, Professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies, and Physical Education (KSSPE), was elected as vice-president (2021-2025) of the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE).

Established in 1958, the ICSSPE is a leader of the global movement educating for a sustainable quality of life for all through physical activity and sport.  Among other outstanding scholars, professionals, and educators, Nobel Peace Prize winner Philip Noel-Baker and neurologist and Olympian Roger Bannister have served as presidents of ICSSPE in the past.  ICSSPE’s legal seat and headquarters are in Berlin, Germany.
