Professor Christopher Norment to Retire After 28 Years

Professor Christopher Norment from the Department of Environmental Science and Ecology is retiring after 28 years of commitment and dedication at SUNY Brockport.

Chris Norment joined the College in 1993 as an Assistant Professor. He has provided 28 years of valuable service to the college as a teacher and an active scholar. Norment exemplified a dedication to teaching and learning about the environment. During his time at Brockport, he published four creative nonfiction books in addition to having a robust peer-reviewed scientific publication record.

Norment received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1998 and the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship/Creative Activity in 2017. Please join us to wish him well in his next adventures.
