Internal Grant Completion Highlight

Dr. Alicia Kerfoot’s project titled “Stitching Narrative in The History and Adventures of a Lady’s Slippers and Shoes” and “The Embodied Embroidery of Cecilia’s ‘Spoilt’ Screen” had been successfully completed thanks to the funds from the Provost’s Post-Tenure Award.

Dr. Alicia Kerfoot received funding in Spring 2019 for her project “Stitching Narrative in The History and Adventures of a Lady’s Slippers and Shoes” and “The Embodied Embroidery of Cecilia’s ‘Spoilt’ Screen” from the Provost’s Post-Tenure Award.

With this funding, Dr. Kerfoot was able to travel to the UK to present her work at an international conference and do archival research at a textiles collection. She also presented work at a conference in Toronto and chaired a panel at an online conference. In addition, she was able to purchase permission right to public imaged to two different articles.
