Faculty/Staff & Former Professor Publish Article in the Journal of College Student Retention

The goal of this study is to contribute to the significant body of research focused on student retention in higher education, specifically by integrating the theory of planned behavior (TPB) with measures of campus place attachment and campus social capital.

The article was co-authored by Dr. Nicholas Pitas (Former Assistant Professor at SUNY Brockport  - current Assistant Professor in the Department of Sport, Recreation, and Tourism at the University of Illinois), Dr. Godfred Antwi (Assistant Professor of Public Health and Health Education), Scott Haines (Director of Campus Recreation), and Dr. Priya Banerjee (Professor and Interim Director of Institutional Research), titled “Student Retention: An Integrated Application of the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Campus Social Environment.”
