Dance Professor’s Choreography Featured in Dare to Dance Festival
Assistant Professor Kaley Pruitt’s dance piece “Intersections” has been selected for a national presentation at Modern American Dance Company’s (MADCO) Dare to Dance Festival January 19-20, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri.
This choreography has now received four invitations to be performed at regional and national levels. MADCO was founded in 1976 and has been a center of caliber dance innovation and performance in the Midwest for over four decades. Artistic Director Arianna Russ curates this prestigious program of professional dance annually.
Pruitt’s work was selected from a pool of both national and international applicants. MADCO states, “Following a juried review, select choreographers have been chosen to showcase their innovative and thought-provoking works in this year’s festival… Join us each evening for a new program featuring highly vetted choreographers who will dance alongside MADCO, presenting their most influential works.”
