Lennon Hall & Tower of Fine Arts Elevator Repairs Update

As previously reported, the Tower Fine Arts and Lennon elevators are out of order due to major equipment failures.

Please be advised Tower Fine Arts repairs have now been delayed 1-month due to equipment manufacturing and labor shortages. Similarly, the Lennon elevator has experience unforeseen subsurface conditions which requires us to pivot to a more intrusive repair solution.  Unfortunately, we do not anticipate that either of these elevators will be ready for the beginning of the spring semester. Note that we continue to do everything we can to expedite the repair process with our vendors and consultants and we are aware of the significant impact this will have on some members of our community.

During this repair process, SUNY Brockport is fully committed to working with students and employees who rely on these elevators. Student concerns should be referred to Student Accessibility Services. Employees who are unable to access their workstation as a result of this outage due to a medical condition should be referred to the Office of Human Resources to request a reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disability Act (ADA). 

Our Facilities team is also available to assist. Should departments have operational needs that can be supported by Facilities (e.g., moving equipment, more frequent trash pick-ups, etc.), please submit a Facilities Service Request
