BITS Planned Maintenance - Upcoming Outages January 2024

BITS has been busy working to perform several critical upgrades to our campus systems to prepare for winter break. There are still a few maintenance tasks that will be completed, please read on to see the schedule. 

Upcoming Network and Systems Maintenance 1/1-1/5/2024

The schedule for upcoming technology infrastructure maintenance is as follows:

  • 1/1/2024 – 6:30am – 8am – Dailey Data Center Network Updates – Intermittent Network, Internet, and Service outages possible during this time.
  • 1/2/2024 – 6:30am – 8am – Tuttle Data Center Network Updates – Intermittent Network, Internet, and Service outages possible during this time.
  • 1/2/2024 – 8am – 12pm – Cisco Jabber Call Manager Reboots – No outage expected during this time; however, some active calls may drop.
  • 1/3/2024 – 6:30am – 8am – Wi-Fi System Reboot, NYSERNET Patch, Call Gateway Upgrades – Intermittent Wi-Fi, network, and phone outages will occur during this time.
  • 1/4/2024 – 6:30am – 8am – Firewall and VPN Updates – Intermittent Wi-Fi, network, and VPN connectivity may occur during this time.
  • 1/5/2024 – 6:30am – 8am – Switch Reboots and NYSERNET Patch – Intermittent Wi-Fi and network outages may occur during this time.
