Psychology Professor Invited to Give Talk on Ungrading

Dr. Laurel McNall was invited to give a talk at the Rise and Grind Series hosted by the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education Northeast North America Federation.

As Director of Education for the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (ICHRIE) Northeast North America Federation (NENA), Dr. Ya-Ling Chen (Department of Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation & Tourism) invited Dr. Laurel McNall (Department of Psychology) to present at the Rise and Grind Series. Her presentation, titled “Going Gradeless: Exploring Ungrading as an Assessment Innovation to Enhance Student Outcomes and Equity,” captivated the audience with a combination of insightful perspectives and empirical data. Dr. McNall’s talk not only engaged discussions among colleagues in the region but also contributed to the ongoing dialogue on improving student outcomes.
