Women & Gender Studies Major Authors Article with the National Organization of Women

Keegan Beamish authored, “Why Christian Nationalism Is a Feminist Issue,” while serving as the Presidential Intern with the National Organization of Women (NOW) in Washington DC in association with her participation in the Washington Program and fulfilling her WGS major internship requirement.

As the Presidential Intern at the National Organization for Women, Keegan was able to write an article that intersects with her personal research niche while aligning this with the core principles of NOW. Keegan’s research explores the definition of Christian nationalism and examines how recent challenges in religious liberty specifically impact women, highlighting it as a feminist issue.
