SUNY Brockport among Educator Programs Recognized for National Excellence
The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) announced it has re-accredited SUNY Brockport, for its distinction in preparing education professionals.
CAEP reviews the quality of programs that prepare school professionals, and promotes excellence in the education field. SUNY Brockport is one of 34 institutions that achieved accreditation in fall 2023, meeting the rigorous national standards for educator preparation.
“These providers meet high standards so that their students receive an education that prepares them to succeed in a diverse range of classrooms after they graduate,” said CAEP President Dr. Christopher A. Koch. “Seeking CAEP Accreditation is a significant commitment on the part of an educator preparation provider.”
SUNY Brockport has over 40 programs that prepare teachers, school counselors, and administrators. Over 1200 teacher candidates have graduated from SUNY Brockport education programs within the past three years, and this re-accreditation inspires confidence that future students can expect quality experiences at SUNY Brockport.
Thank you faculty, staff, students, and our school and community partners, for working together to help us achieve re-accreditation, and support the field of education!
