Professor Emeritus Co-authors Article with International Colleagues

Mark Noll (professor emeritus in the Department of the Earth Sciences) is co-author on a paper, Identifying potential hotspots of groundwater-climate interaction in the Great Artesian Basin, Australia, with an international team led by Pankaj Kaushik (a doctoral student at Griffith University and a former visiting scientist at Brockport).

This is the third article by this team, looking at the impact of climate and anthropogenic uses on groundwater resources in Autralia’s Great Artesian Basin. The Great Artesian Basin is the largest and deepest artesian aquifer system in the world, and an essential natural resource for eastern Australia.
