Academic Success Coordinator Presents at National Conference

Jianna Howard (an Academic Success Coordinator in the ASC) will present a paper at the National Symposium on Student Retention. The paper and presentation, titled “Not only Funding, a Family” focused on our Fannie Barrier Williams Scholars program and our student’s success.

Jianna Howard, the Academic Success Coordinator in the ASC responsible for the Fannie Barrier Williams Scholars and Emerging Scholars program, has had a paper accepted and will present at this year’s National Symposium on Student Retention’s (NSSR) national conference in New Orleans. The paper, entitled “Not Only Funding, a Family” and co-authored by  Dr. Sara Kelly, focuses on the success of our Fannie Barrier Williams Scholars program.

NSSR is the premier academic consortium on students in transition. The competitive submission process asks authors to submit a summary that must be accepted before researching and writing their submission, which also must be accepted.
