The Department of History’s Sarwat and Salahuddin Malik Lecture Series is co-sponsoring with the Nazareth University Center for Spirituality a film screening and Q&A of Josh Seftel’s “Stranger at the Gate” at 5 pm on October 19 at the Shults Forum at Nazareth University (live streaming from the Fannie Barrier Williams Building room 202).

Josh Seftal’s documentary, “Stranger at the Gate” was nominated for best short documentary at the 2023 Academy Awards. Dr. Carl Davila will conduct a Q&A after the film. The film focuses on a U.S. Marine who plots a terrorist attack on a small-town American mosque, but his plan takes an unexpected turn when he comes face-to-face with the people he tries to kill.
