The Joint Planning and Budget Committee (JPBC) is a presidential advisory committee representing the University community. It serves as the institutional oversight body to ensure that institutional goals and division level planning and budgeting are interlinked and informed by assessment to advance the strategic goals and priorities established in Building a Better Brockport, the strategic plan for the University. The committee meets on select Thursdays from 8:30 - 10:30 am throughout the academic year. Meetings are open and the SUNY Brockport community is encouraged to attend.
JPBC held two meetings in September 2023. The first meeting included an orientation to the committee and a reaffirmation of the committee’s operating guidelines. Additionally, Vice President for Administration and Finance Jackie Clark provided University budget updates to the committee, and Provost Martin Abraham offered an update on classroom renovations. The final status of investment funds from the 22-23 academic year also was shared. The second September meeting included reports addressing admissions and recruitment from the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Center for Graduate Studies, and Global Education and Engagement.
The next JPBC meeting will take place October 12.
