Updated Deadlines for Textbook & Course Material Adoptions
The deadlines for textbook and course material adoptions have been extended as updated WinterSession and spring 2024 course data will not be available online through the course material adoption system until Saturday, October 21, 2023.
Taking this into consideration, the new deadline for WinterSession course material adoptions is Monday, October 30, 2023 and the new deadline for the Spring 2024 semester is Monday, November 13, 2023. Please refrain from submitting adoptions prior to October 21 unless you are 100% certain that you will be teaching not only the same course, but also the same section. Additionally, all instructors should check the status of their adoptions on or after October 23, 2023, not before, to ensure that the Bookstore is ordering the correct titles for your course and that incorrect information is not left over from a previous semester.
To comply with HEOA regulations, by the new deadlines outlined above, please let the Bookstore know what title(s) you would like to use. If you do not require any texts, the Bookstore still needs to know so that they can display that information on their website for students.
You can place your textbook order online through AIP by visiting Brockport.edu, clicking Faculty & Staff, and then clicking Order a Course Textbook. There you can login with your Brockport.edu credentials. You may also submit adoptions through Email. Be sure to include the following information for your submissions:
- Department, Course Number, and Section
- Professor’s full name and contact information
- Author
- Title
- ISBN-13 (13-digit number usually starting with 978)
- Edition (please advise if you would like newest edition available)
- Whether the title is Required or Recommended
- Any additional supplies required
