Professor Featured on WXXI’s Connections Show
Filmmaker and Professor Carvin Eison joined a panel of experts to talk about Rochester’s past redlining – racial discrimination for housing – and its impact today.
Eison’s film, “Home Access Denied,” focuses on the racial convenants used to keep people of color out of houses and seeks to inspire people to change. A free screening of the film, which is designed for Grade 6 and up, will be held at The Little Theatre in Rochester at 7 pm September 28.
The show, which aired September 26, will be available as a podcast at WXXINews.org.
