Brockport Student Heads Fundraiser for Household Items

Brockport student Shannon Lauinger is interning at the Jennifer House and organizing the Milbank Project Home Goods Fundraiser. The fundraiser is in need of towels, bedding, brooms, mops, laundry baskets, and cleaning supplies.

The Jennifer House, a branch of the Spiritus Christi Prison Outreach. The Spiritus Christi Prison Outreach has recently gained access to a new housing project to provide individuals, undergoing addiction, safe and stable housing to reach their individual goals. Shannon’s project is the Milbank Project, with the goal of obtaining household items for the home to become a success. These items will allow for this house to feel like a home for the population it serves.

The household items they are looking to receive could include but are not limited to:

  • Bedding
  • Trash cans
  • Pillows
  • Curtains
  • Rugs
  • Blankets
  • Sheets
  • Kitchenware (e.g., cups, pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils)
  • Laundry baskets
  • Storage baskets
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Brooms

These are just some of the goods they would be looking to receive, but any goods that can help this home succeed would be wonderful. They would also welcome any gift cards to help purchase these goods.

All items can be sent directly to the Jennifer House at 934 Culver Rd, Rochester, NY 14609 OR 41 Erie Street, Brockport, NY, 14420.
