Personal Safety Committee Seeking New Membership

The personal safety of all students, faculty, staff, administrators, and visitors is of primary importance to the University. If you are interested in learning more about the University’s health and safety programs and departments, contact Karen Logsdon.

The Personal Safety Committee is a multidisciplinary team of faculty, staff, administrators and students that work collaboratively to foster a safe campus environment. The primary focus and role of this committee is to review the University’s policies and procedures in relation to personal safety and Title IX prevention, education and response. The committee is charged with providing recommendations in the form of a written report to the University’s administration and Title IX Coordinator on an annual basis.

The Personal Safety Committee organizes an annual campus safety walk along with the Emergency Manager, University Police, Environmental Health and Safety and representatives from Facilities and Planning, in order to observe for potential safety issues and communicate with the appropriate department to resolve the concern.

Meetings for the Fall 2023 semester are on September 28 and November 30, from 2-3 PM on Microsoft Teams.

Contact Karen Logsdon, PSC Chair, at klogsdon@brockport.edu if you and/or your students are interested in becoming a member of this committee.
