New Students: Here’s the Deal for Saturday & Sunday
First-Year & Transfer Students: Get the 4-1-1 on the Peer Mentor Kick Off & New Student Academic Jumpstart, including how to prepare, what to expect, and what to bring.
So you’re all moved in! Welcome home! As you unpack your things, begin decorating your space, and start making new friends – here are some helpful tips to keep in mind in advance of the Peer Mentor Kick-Off on Saturday, 8/26 and the New Student Academic Jumpstart on Sunday, 8/27:
1. You will be grouped according to your GEP100/125 class. Come ready with your GEP number (for example: GEP100.12)
2. Brunch is included in the schedule, but bring a snack & a water bottle incase your group eats later in the day.
3. Remember: everyone is in the same boat. Be vulnerable, open-minded, and positive! You’ll make connections and be better prepared for the semester ahead!

Saturday: Class of 2027 ‘B’ Photo
This takes part at the end of the program, so hang in there. Come get your first free Brockport t-shirt, and pose in this iconic photo. -
Sunday: Campus Scavenger Hunt
Let the race begin! After Academic Convocation, you’ll race around campus, learn about resources, and have a chance to win prizes!
