Learning Social Justice

October 19 – November 12
Opening Reception: October 19, 4 – 6 pm

Effective Fall 2023, SUNY has added Social Justice to the required knowledge and skills area of its general education program. What is social justice and how do artists show it through their processes and practice? This exhibition brings together several diverse regional artists and community publishing projects to consider expansive meanings of social justice and desires for equity. Included are Rochester-based artists Hernease Davis, W. Michelle Harris, and Evelyne Leblanc Roberge among others, as well as the publishing projects In This Moment: Revolution, Reckoning, Reparation, Fertile Ground, and more.
