Golden Eagle Orientation is Here
The Orientation Leaders are getting trained, campus is getting set up, and our incoming first-years are packing up to head our way. The first orientation session begins July 10, 2023.
Golden Eagle Orientation is one of the most important and exciting moments for the SUNY Brockport community, with the whole month of July devoted to welcoming our incoming students to campus, getting them ready to “take flight” with us this coming Fall, and making sure they are ready to join the Golden Eagle community!
You will see an increase in signage and decoration around campus during the month of July to help create an inviting atmosphere; please feel free to join in and further decorate your areas to welcome our new students.
There will be an influx of 200 students and around 100 parents during every orientation session (July 10-11, 13-14, 17-18, 20-21, 24-25, and 27-28), so please ensure your offices are prepared for any potential visitors, and be ready to welcome them with gusto!
Orientation is so much more than a campus tour. We work with our incoming students to help them get ready for this transition, to understand all of the resources and supports available to them as students here, to be prepared to take advantage of the many opportunities we offer, and to feel excited about becoming a member of our community.
