IMSVI Hosts International Symposium in Italy

The Institute of Movement Studies for Individuals with Visual Impairments (IMSVI) in collaboration with Real Eyes Sport and the University of Parma hosted the second International Symposium on Physical Activity and Individuals with Visual Impairment and Deafblindness in Parma, Italy.
Over 60 individuals across 14 countries participated in the three-day symposium, which included a preconference workshop on self-advocacy, four plenary sessions from distinguished scholars and practitioners, and many research and practical presentations on a variety of topics. Participating faculty included Lauren Lieberman (KSSPE), Pamela Beach (KSSPE), Melanie Perreault (KSSPE), and Ruth Childs (Theatre & Music Studies).
