Friends of Drake Library Sponsor Painting Event
A blue-sky afternoon provided the perfect backdrop for budding artists to express their inner Picasso while painting the “Joy and Happiness to all the Children of the World” Fountain.
Painters completed colorful acrylic 9” x12” renderings of the fountain during a relaxed and fun-filled session.
A pop-up table of items from the Rose College Archives provided additional inspiration, displaying art books by Zurab Tsereteli, the artist who created the fountain for Brockport’s 1979 Special Olympics.
Special thanks to guest instructor, Andrea Newman, Library Director, Bonnie Swoger, and all who worked to ensure a successful event. Proceeds will be used to support Drake Library.
