Brockport Represented at SUNY CIT Conference

Several faculty and staff recently attended and/or presented at the SUNY Conference on Instruction and Technology (CIT) “Rooted and Rising: Exploring the Shifting Landscape of Higher Ed”.
SUNY Brockport presentations included:
- Peter Kalenda (Education and Human Development), Shari Hardenbrook (ASIS) and Logan Rath (Library) presented on “Our Journey from Blackboard to Brightspace: Anticipating Students’ Needs with Third-Party Software Integration”.
- Mary Jo Orzech (Library), Jie Zhang (Education and Human Development), Jennifer Kegler (Library), Ann Pearlman (Instructional Designer, U. of R.) and Victoria Greenfield (graduate student) presented a panel on “Building Global Relationships: OER Partners and Practice”.
- Logan Rath (Library) described the process used for “Building an APA Certificate Course in Brightspace”.
- Natalie Svrcek, Janeen Pizzo, and Kathleen Colantonio-Yurko from Education and Human Development, presented “What’s the Point?: Low Prep Reading Strategies for the Hybrid or Online Course”.
Other Brockport attendees included Lyndsay Marrone (ASIS), Jeff Thompson (ASIS), Jennifer Smalls (Nursing) and more.
