Strong Showing From Department of Computing Sciences at Conference

Nine students and four faculty from the Department of Computing Sciences attended the 27th Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges Northeast Region (CCSCNE) on April 14-15 at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York.
Students participated in a research poster competition as well as a programming contest, with one of the student programming teams winning third place amongst 17 teams.
Students that participated in the poster competition were: Issah Abakar, Ethan Baker, Austin Barr, Ajay Bhattacharya, Chase Leckinger, Tye Leckinger, Matthew Morgan, Kurt Mueller, and Jacob Thibault.
In addition, some of the students participated in the programming contest held at CCSCNE 2023.

A very special shout out to the Computing Sciences faculty mentors for guiding these students. The faculty mentors were: Dr. Eugeniya Iskrenova-Ekiert, Dr. Adita Kulkarni, Dr. Sandeep Mitra, Dr. Eric Owusu, Professor Daniel Rogers, and Dr. Zakariya Qawaqneh.
