Sankofa African Dance & Drum Ensemble Feature on News 8 WROC
The Sankofa African Dance and Drum Ensemble was featured at Highland Hospital’s Highland Fest at 7 pm on News 8 WROC and streamed live on RochesterFirst.com on March 11.
Housed in the Department of Dance at SUNY Brockport, the Sankofa African Dance and Drum Ensemble is a vibrant student touring group that enthusiastically shares traditional and contemporary African dance and music with audiences worldwide. In this pandemic time, the ensemble has been offering virtual performances, master classes, and lecture-demonstrations.
