Encourage Students to Take the College Health Survey
The deadline for the College Health Survey has been extended to March 31. This 30-minute online survey is designed to assess student health behaviors in order to provide better services for students.
We need your help getting the word out to students to take this national college health survey in order to acquire a comprehensive needs assessment for our student population.
The survey was disseminated via an email invitation on Tuesday, February 7 and has been extended to end on March 31, 2023. Students who have completed the survey will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of ten Amazon gift cards of $10 value.
The survey has been heavily marketed to students through social media, signage, tabling and weekly email reminders. It is important that we encourage students to take the survey in order to get a better understanding of what the comprehensive health-related needs are of our students.
The topics covered in this survey include, but are not limited to: physical health and illness, nutrition, fitness, sexual health, sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, mental health, coping skills, substance use, prescription medication usage, the impact of social media, basic needs, and bystander intervention.
If you would like more information on the survey, please contact, Mat Hall (Associate Director, Health Promotion and Prevention Education & Center for Gender and Sexual Diversity) and/or Karen Logsdon, PhD (Enrollment Management and Student Affairs).
