Education & Human Development Faculty, Students & Alumni Present at Conference

Dr. Amy Shema, Lecturer in Education and Human Development, current teacher candidates Evyn Meldrum ’23, Rose Mayer ’25, and alumna Paige Ackers ’22 presented at the 2023 Greater Rochester Antiracist Virtual Conference.

On March 11, presenters from Education and Human Development led a breakout session titled, Engaging with Antiracist Curriculum Project in a Pre-Service Teacher Education Course, which highlighted the benefits of embedding this work in order to prepare teacher candidates to work with all students and be advocates for social change.
