Meteorology Major to Take Off with NASA Internship
Patricia Hutton, a senior meteorology major, has landed a spot in this summer’s Student Airborne Research Program (SARP), sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Hutton will be selected to work in one of four groups conducting atmospheric, oceanic, and land-surface research using NASA’s DC-8 aircraft. As part of her assignment, she will be designing an individual project under the supervision of faculty and graduate student mentors. The program takes place this summer at UC Irvine.
In addition to meteorology, Hutton is majoring in earth science and minoring in physics.
