Joseph Golden, graduate student in the Department of History, is co-editor and writer for The Journal of Engaged Research. Issue 4 of the journal is dedicated to “feminisms” publishing manifestos from spring 2022 Feminist Theory student scholars.

Congratulations to Joseph Golden, graduate student in the Department of History, in founding and co-editing The Journal of Engaged Research (JoER). Joseph was enrolled in Feminist Theory (WMS 509), in spring 2022, where he invited WMS 409/509 class members into The JoER submission process.

Issue 4 of The JoER on feminism comes from these WMS 409 and 509 student scholars whose work examines the intersectionality of sex, gender, race, ethnicity, class, age, sexuality, (dis)ability status, and other dimensions of social identity. The issue went live March 8 to coincide with International Women’s Day.

As Joseph writes,” the student submissions shine a light on women’s rights and gender equality, creating a well-timed opportunity to look at the subtleties of feminism and how we connect with it.”
