Department of Criminal Justice Faculty and Staff received awards from the School of Arts and Sciences.

Dr. Andrew Baranauskas and Ms. Kim Huffer received awards from the School of Arts and Sciences.

Dr. Andrew J. Baranauskas was awarded the 2022 Scholar of the Year Award by the School of Arts and Sciences at SUNY Brockport. Dr. Baranauskas has published his research in multiple peer-reviewed journals, including Justice Quarterly, Criminology & Public Policy, and other top journals in criminology and criminal justice. His research examines public opinion on crime and justice. His studies have explored public opinion on current issues such as arming teachers with guns, protest policing, and defunding the police.
Ms. Kim Huffer was awarded the 2022 Administrative Assistant of the Year Award by the School of Arts and Sciences at SUNY Brockport. Ms. Huffer has been with the Criminal Justice Department since June 2018. Ms. Huffer loves to be in the department and is loved and appreciated by the department faculty.
