Department of Criminal Justice Faculty & Staff Receive Awards
Dr. Andrew J. Baranauskas was awarded the 2022 Scholar of the Year Award by the School of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Baranauskas has published his research in multiple peer-reviewed journals, including Justice Quarterly, Criminology & Public Policy, and other top journals in criminology and criminal justice. His research examines public opinion on crime and justice. His studies have explored public opinion on current issues such as arming teachers with guns, protest policing, and defunding the police.
Kim Huffer was awarded the 2022 Administrative Assistant of the Year Award by the School of Arts and Sciences. Huffer has been with the Department since June 2018. She loves to be in the department, and she is loved and appreciated by the department faculty.
