University Police creates Safe Exchange Zones

Campus community members are encouraged to use the Safe Exchange Zones as a neutral, safe area to meet or make exchanges involving private property and e-commerce transactions (e.g. Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist).

There are two designated Safe Exchange Zones located on campus; one is in the Seymour College Union lobby near the sliding glass doors. The other is located at the University Police Station front ramp entrance at Lathrop Hall. These designated locations are in populated areas and monitored by video surveillance. If the Seymour College Union is closed, you are encouraged to utilize the Safe Exchange Zone located at University Police as they are available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Our goal is to partner with our community to maintain high levels of safety on campus. We hope you will join us by using this great resource.

If at any time during these exchanges you feel unsafe or need police assistance, please call University Police at (585) 395-2222.
