Environmental Science & Ecology Professor Awarded $3,600 in Funding
Dr. Jacques Rinchard was awarded $3,600 from Michigan Department of Natural Resources to determine thiamine concentration in steelhead trout eggs.
The objective of this project is to compare thiamine concentrations in steelhead trout eggs treated with thiamine at or after fertilization. Treating the eggs at fertilization could provide significant logistic and economic improvements over current thiamine deficiency treatment.
The award will be administered by the office of Scholarship, Research & Sponsored Programs.
