Apply Now: University Police Citizens Police Academy
Join five-week academy with hands on engaging classes scheduled each week taught by members of the University Police Department from October 12 - November 9, 2022. Applications are due by October 5.
Classes consisting of a K9 Demonstration, Response to Critical Incidents, DWI Enforcement, and Careers in the Criminal Justice Field.
Every participant will receive a certificate at the conclusion of the Citizens Academy.
The Purpose
The mission of the Citizens Police Academy is to foster better communication and understanding between the campus community and the University Police Department through education. The academy will promote better understanding to the attendees so that they may possess greater insight into police practice and the services that we provide.
