Register Now: Citizen Preparedness Corps Training
The training, in conjunction with Governor Kathy Hochel’s office, County Executive Adam Bello, and the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management, will be held on September 28 from 5 - 7 pm. Gain the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster or emergency, respond accordingly, and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions.
SUNY Brockport in conjunction with Governor Kathy Hochel’s office, County Executive Adam Bello, and the Monroe County Office of Emergency Management are proud to host New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps Training.
This training course will provide an introduction to responding to a natural or a man-made disaster. Participants will be advised on how to properly prepare for any disaster, including developing a family emergency plan and what are important items to have in case an event occurs.
The training will be held on Wednesday, September 28 from 5 pm - 7 pm in McCue Auditorium in the Liberal Arts Building. The training is free will be open to students, faculty, and staff as well as community members in our area.
All attendees must register. Go to www.prepare.ny.gov and click on the “Training Events Calendar” button and register for the SUNY Brockport training. Each family or single person attendee will receive an Emergency Preparedness Kit backpack with supplies.
