Drake Library Receives $5,000 Grant to Update the Rose Archives

Drake Memorial Library received funds from Rochester Regional Library Council to update the Rose Archives to make their collections more identifiable and accessible.

Pam O’Sullivan and a graduate student will review the current archives and develop descriptions for the collections. Changing wording and including descriptions will make the collection more inclusive. Steps will then be taken to link the Rose Archive collections in Digital Commons to the findings, which will make the collections compliant with SUNY requirements for accessibility of library materials. Linking the collections in the findings and providing descriptions will allow identifying collections within the archives needed for papers, research, and information easier for students, researchers, and the community.

The award will be administered by The Research Foundation for SUNY at SUNY Brockport
