HOW AND WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO APPLY FOR SUNY BROCKPORT MPA PROGRAM?

My wife’s support enabled me to start thinking about studying. I feel lucky to find the Brockport MPA program. After meeting with Dr. Watt, I was motivated about the MPA and what it can help me achieve in life.

The vast career pathways of the alumina of this program and the possible future career where I can make an impact in the lives of the fellow human being were among the reason I chose this program.

WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED MOST ABOUT THE PROGRAM SO FAR?

The interaction with faculty & variety of prospective from each and every individual student. The friendships are amazing and going to be a lifelong asset. The opportunities that this program has offered me so far are well beyond my expectation.

WHAT DOES YOUR JOB ENTAIL?

Learning the dynamics of the consulting role with a hands on approach to each project that I have worked so far.

The SUNY Brockport fellowship at CGR has enabled me to interact and learn from experts respected in their field with a wealth of knowledge and community involvement, government and nonprofit engagement as well as the prospect of networking for future.

There are learning light bulb moments almost every single day.

WHAT ARE YOUR FUTURE GOALS?

I have recently changed my career path from an engineering background and looking forward to complete the MPA program first.

As a family, we plan to travel to learning another language and culture. Build a house. Lead the special night prayer (In Holy month of fasting (Ramadan). Spend time with my mom……….. There are way too many…lol

My list for career goals have been growing since I have started this program, so far I have healthcare, consulting, government, economic development, as well as teaching.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO SHARE?

There are many distractions in life, staying focus to your goals is very hard but one step at a time will help us keep sailing. Always imagine what success will look like and then work towards getting it.

Be ready for change as the opportunity comes.
