Move-In Weekend: Tips for Faculty & Staff

Student hugging their family on move-in day

Everything you need to know about move-in weekend, August 25-28.

We’re so excited to welcome another incoming class of Golden Eagles to campus, and welcome back our returning students to their homes away from home. We appreciate your help as we work together to ensure a smooth & safe move-in.

This year’s move-in will take place August 25 – 28.

Tips for a Successful Move-In:

  1. Work Remotely (if able)
Due to the high volume of construction on campus for this year’s move-in, we ask that if you do not need to report to campus on some or all of the days of heavy move-in traffic (August 25 – 28), and are able to work remotely via your current approved telecommuting schedule, please do so. This will ensure that students and families will have more availability to unload and park their vehicles.

  2. Review our Move-In Website
Specific day-of instructions and maps can be found here. Find out when specific groups of students are moving in, where they should report to, where they will be parking, recommended campus entry points, and more.

  3. Limited Parking Availability
Beginning Wednesday, August 24 at 5pm, parking lots O and C will be closed to faculty & staff to allow space for move-in unloading. Please be on the lookout for more specific parking notices, which will be posted in the Daily Eagle in the coming days.

Thank you to our entire campus community for helping us ensure a successful move-in weekend!
