Amazon employees can now pursue a pre-paid bachelor’s degree at SUNY Brockport. Amazon’s Career Choice program provides an annual benefit that will cover tuition and select fees for all qualifying hourly employees that are accepted as students at SUNY Brockport.

Amazon employees can pursue any of the more than 50 undergraduate programs offered by SUNY Brockport. Amazon’s Career Choice program is an education benefit that empowers employees to learn new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere. The program meets individual learners where they are on their education journey through a variety of education and upskilling opportunities including full college tuition, industry certifications designed to lead to in-demand jobs, and foundational skills such as English language proficiency, high school diplomas, and GEDs. In the U.S., the company is investing $1.2 billion to upskill more than 300,000 employees by 2025 to help move them into higher-paying, in-demand jobs.

“At Amazon, we’re committed to empowering our employees by providing them access to the education and training they need to grow their careers, whether that’s with us or elsewhere,” said Carley Graham Garcia, Head of Community Affairs at Amazon in New York. “We’re thrilled today to be partnering with SUNY Brockport on our Career Choice program to give our employees access to pursue the education path that fits their passions. Whether employees are looking to finish their Bachelor’s degree at SUNY Brockport or build on their foundational skills of English proficiency or GED preparation with our national partners, we’re prepared to meet our employees wherever they are on their educational journey.”

Amazon’s Career Choice program has a rigorous selection process for third-party partner educators, choosing partners that are focused on helping employees through their education programs, assisting them with job placements, and overall offering education that leads to career success.

Assemblyman Steve Hawley

“This partnership between SUNY Brockport and Amazon creates an exceptional opportunity for young people to live out their American dream. It has become a rare thing for students to be able to work their way through school like their parents did these days, so I applaud Amazon and SUNY Brockport for coming together to make that possible once more through their Career Choice program.”
