Managed Print Initiative Update - More printers arriving

Additional printers for the Managed Print Initiative will arrive on campus this week. As the printers arrive, BITS will be involved with the installation and will be in contact with the areas in which it is happening. Please review this article to familiarize yourself with how printing may change in your area.

The campus is expecting to receive the next batch of printers and swipe print release devices for the SUNY Managed Print initiative this week! As the printers arrive, BITS will be involved with the installation and testing in each area. 

BITS has deployed the “Brockport Secure Print” queue to all campus owned windows computers. One of the benefits of the new Secure Print structure is, you no longer have to select which printer you would like to print to.  You will submit your print job to the Secure Print queue and can release the job at any secure print printer by swiping your card or entering your NetID username and password! The easiest way to release your print jobs will be with your SUNY Brockport ID card, so be sure you have an ID card and carry it with you. For more information about ID cards see the SUNY Brockport ID Card Information Article
