Graduate Students can apply now for a fellowship opportunity as Community Engagement Manager for Rochester-based community-oriented antiracism and social justice eLearning organization, 540WMain.

This excellent opportunity is for a SUNY Brockport Graduate student in any department or program looking for work experience in community development, nonprofit, and antiracism work for the 2022-23 academic year.

Apply to work as the Community Engagement Manager at the eLearning nonprofit 540WMain in Rochester. Includes a stipend and one course tuition per semester.

540WMain is a nonprofit antiracist education platform that promotes justice for all by offering education on issues that directly impact lived experience and prioritizing social justice and antiracism. 540WMain was founded in 2016 as a grassroots community space in the Susan B. Anthony district of Rochester, NY, is dedicated to creating programming rooted in social justice, and neighborhood revitalization. As an eLearning platform, 540 remains dedicated to supporting Rochester neighborhoods and providing accessible education and community learning to all.

The Graduate Fellow will work closely with the CEO and COO of 540 in the role of Community Engagement Manager. The Community Engagement Manager serves as a brand ambassador for 540WMain, Inc. engaging with potential organizational members and building relationships with existing organizational members. The fellow will also serve as a liaison between Brockport’s division of Advancement and 540WMain.
