Congratulations to English Scholarship & Award Recipients
The Department of English wishes to honor and congratulate its outstanding majors for earning annual scholarships and awards toward their future studies.
Well done to this year’s recipients.
- April McCloud received the Blaine M. DeLancey Memorial Award for an outstanding composition.
- Grace Hall for the Warren Morgan Memorial Award in English for demonstrating high achievement in the department.
- Naimah Muhammad and Roxanna Siaca both received Calvin Rich/English Club Poetry Awards for poetic excellence.
- Shane Amidon and Elizabeth Siaca both received Ingersoll Family Endowment scholarships for excellence in their third year of study.
- Javanse’ Ryland-Buntley earned the Hannelore and William Heyen Scholarship in Creative Writing for prose and Sean Krauss earned a Heyen Scholarship for poetry.
- Destiny Kirk earned the Harvey A. Dorfman ’57 Scholarship for an English Adolescence Education Major.
- Shane Amidon received the Ruth Donahue Maurer ’53 Scholarship for academic excellence and a commitment to teaching.
- Rebecca Ostrander earned the Harry B. Boutet Scholarship for demonstrating leadership and strong moral character in and out of the classroom.
- Elizabeth Sirico has earned the Curran Family Scholarship for demonstrating a commitment to the career of teaching as well as multi-lingual education.
