Social Work Field Education Coordinator Receives Development Grant

Tricia Snyder, Coordinator of Undergraduate Field Education in the Department of Social Work, was awarded an individual development grant from United University Professions to apply best practices from her doctoral program.

Tricia Snyder was awarded an Individual Development Grant from United University Professions to apply learned related best practices from her doctoral program at the University of Rochester in equity, diversity, and inclusion and findings of peer-reviewed quantitative and qualitative research focused on student persistence and well-being through equity in higher education (with intentionality towards those from public university applications and research sites in the U.S.).

There were a high number of competitive applications for this funding at SUNY Brockport. Snyder’s doctoral dissertation focuses on the persistence and lived experiences of post-traditional students in higher education within a Response to Intervention/Multi-Tiered Systems of Support framework including what instructional delivery methods are most effective and what services and supports are needed to support their academic (degree completion) and lifelong success.
