Will You Be Driving a 15-Passenger Van this Semester?

The Environmental Health and Safety department highly recommends that you coordinate with new faculty or staff planning to drive a 15-passenger vehicle to complete the required van driver safety program a month prior to their anticipated first use.

If you have new faculty or staff who will be driving one of the campus 15 passenger vans during the Summer, the Environmental Health and Safety department highly recommends that you coordinate with these individuals to complete the required van driver safety program a month prior to their anticipated first use.

This course consists of the following components:

  1. Drivers under the age of 25 must take a defensive driving course
  2. All drivers must clear a License Event Notification System (LENS) check
  3. An online van safety course that takes an average of 2 hours to complete
  4. A driving practice session with a member of the EHS department.
