Extra Summer Health Insurance Deductions for Faculty & GATA

Two extra deductions will be taken from the following three paychecks.

The deduction schedule is as follows:

Check dates for enrollees on the 10 & 20 pay schedule:

• 5/11/22 – 2 extra deductions will cover 6/22/22 and 7/6/22
• 5/25/22 – 2 extra deductions will cover 7/20/22 and 8/3/22
• 6/8/22 – 2 extra deductions will cover 8/17/22 and 8/31/22

Check dates for enrollees on the 21 pay schedule:

• 5/25/22 – 2 extra deductions for 7/6/22 and 7/20/22
• 6/8/22 – 2 extra deductions for 8/3/22 and 8/17/22
• 6/22/22 – 1 extra deduction for 8/31/22

Example 1:  If you are currently paying $50.89 for Individual Empire Plan, you will see the following health insurance deductions in your paycheck:

• Regular Before Tax Health:  $50.89
• Special Before Tax Health Adj:  $101.78

Example 2:  If you are currently paying $219.75 for Family Empire Plan, you will see the following health insurance deductions in your paychecks:

• Regular Before Tax Health:  $219.75
• Special Before Tax Health Adj:  $439.50

*NOTE:  If your salary is not enough to cover the extra deductions, the Employee Benefits Division (EBD) will bill you directly for your premiums. To avoid cancellation of coverage for non-payment, please pay these premiums as requested by EBD.
