Yearly Required Test of the Campus Emergency Voice Notification System
Today, Information Technology Services and Campus Emergency Management will be conducting a required yearly test of the College’s Emergency Voice Notification System (EVNS).
Similar to the College’s RAVE System that is used for sending communications campus wide in the event of a significant weather event or power outage, another resource used to facilitate communications to campus is the Emergency Voice Notification System or “EVNS”. The EVNS allows communications to be transmitted into all buildings on campus via an internal building public address system. Each year the College’s Information Technology Services Department in conjunction with the Campus Emergency Management Program test these systems to confirm they are functioning properly.
