Computing Sciences Students Earn Recognition at Data Fest

Five undergraduate computing sciences students competed in Data Fest 2022. This was the first group of Brockport students to attend the event and they received an honorable mention for best visualization.

The five undergraduate Computing Sciences students were Stryder Coleman, Emma Doyle, Anh Hoang, Garrison Maloney, and Jonah Schnettler. All of them were mentored by Assistant Professor, Dr. Zakariya Qawaqneh.

The Data Fest was hosted virtually by RIT from March 25 – 27, 2022. This competition is a data hackathon for undergraduate students sponsored by the American Statistical Association.
