Cocoa Rae David, a visual artist, photographer, and graduate student at Visual Studies Workshop, shared how she is using photography and more to deliver messages of beauty, courage, and change in Sunday’s Arts section of Rochester’s Democrat and Chronicle
Cocoa Rae David, a Rochester native, visual artist, photographer, and graduate student at Visual Studies Workshop was featured in Sunday’s Democrat and Chronicle Artsweek segment called, “The Creative Spirit.” In the feature, Cocoa Rae shares how she is using photography and more to deliver messages of beauty, courage, and change.
Cocoa Rae’s “Pigment” series, a collection of mixed-media artwork that consists of body painting, semi-nude photography, and colored-gel studio lighting one was of the projects highlighted in the feature. On Friday, April 1, 2022, Cocoa Rae is scheduled to present some of her work during Brockport’s 2022 Diversity Conference. Her presentation is entitled, “Essence” and her co-presenter will be her mother and Brockport alumna, Dr. Tamala David, Associate Professor, Department of Nursing.
